Framework

The 10 Blocks

A structural model for assessing and strengthening relationship health.

Why a new framework

The research exists. A guide you can use doesn't. Five gaps keep showing up:

  1. 1Theories describe people, not relationships. For example, attachment style and emotional intelligence tell you about you, not what is happening between you and another.
  2. 2Most are built for couples, so friendship, family, work and the one with yourself get left out.
  3. 3They measure how a relationship feels, not whether it is healthy. A relationship can be loving and still unsafe.
  4. 4They tell you what matters in general. None of them tell you where your relationship actually stands, from both sides.
  5. 5The ones that do tell you what to do put something in the way first: a therapist, a workshop, a fee.
